Third defeat for Bulgaria U21 at the World Cup in Indonesia

The Bulgarian Women's U21 national team recorded their third loss at the World Championship in Indonesia. The squad, led by Dragan Nesic, lost to Japan 0:3 (19:25, 17:25, 12:25) in a Group D match played in Surabaya.

With this result, the Bulgarian team occupies fourth place in the group with 4 points (1 win, 3 losses). Japan continues without error - 4 wins from 4 matches and a leading position with 12 points.

After a relatively even start in the first set and a score of 13:11, the Asian team took the initiative, dominating in attack and with a strong serve. The Bulgarian volleyball players failed to find a counter to the fast and varied play of their opponents, who controlled the development of the match until the last point.

The second and third sets passed entirely under the dictation of the Japanese team, which excelled in every element - from reception and defense, to organizing an attack. The score differences grew, and the match concluded in three sets.

Bulgaria's next challenge is tomorrow, August 12, at 12:00 PM Bulgarian time against Thailand - a key match for the team's chances in the tournament.
