Today, Ziraat Bankart Club announced on social media that Dutch opposite Nimir Abdel-Aziz will play for them next season. This transfer had been rumored since last year, but it has only now become a reality.

Experience and achievements
The 33-year-old Abdel-Aziz is well-known to the Turkish public. With Halkbank Ankara, he won several championship titles in the Efeler Lig and numerous individual awards. He spent last season in Japan with Wolfdogs Nagoya, and in 2024, he also competed for Al Rayyan in Qatar.

It is also impressive that Nimir already wore the Ziraat Bankasi jersey in the 2013/14 season, but then as an outside hitter. His return now, as one of the world's leading opposite hitters, is a serious asset for Ziraat's ambitions in Efeler Ligi and in Europe.
