First victory for Bulgaria at the World Cup in Indonesia

Bulgaria's national team for girls U21 recorded its first success at the World Championship in Surabaya (Indonesia). In their second match in Group D, coach Dragan Nesic's girls demonstrated complete superiority and defeated Tunisia with a convincing 3:0 (25:20, 25:12, 25:20). With this success, the Bulgarians now have one win and one loss and have collected 3 points in the standings. Tomorrow (August 9), our team will face Chile, who currently has two defeats. The match starts at 3:00 PM Bulgarian time.

📊Statistics:

Indicator Tunisia Bulgaria
Attack 27 44
Block 3 5
Serve 2 7
Points from opponent's errors 20 19
Total points 52 75

Bulgaria completely dominated in attack and on serve, and the advantage in block (5 against 3) further tilted the scales. The strong serving brought easy points and rattled the Tunisian reception. The almost equal number of points from errors shows that the match was decided mainly by our offensive efficiency.

📊 Top scorers:

Name Team Points
Ben Hamida S (No. 9) Tunisia 12
Dudova (№13) Bulgaria 17
Toumi E (№12) Tunisia 7
Koeva (№10) Bulgaria 12

Dudova was the leading figure in attack with 17 points and became a key factor for the success. She received good support from Koeva with 12 points. For Tunisia, Ben Hamida was the most active, but the lack of a second strong scorer proved decisive.

📊 Game elements:

Indicator Tunisia Bulgaria
Defensive digs 65 65
Reception 64 48
Setting 91 91

Both teams showed equal activity in defense and setting, but Bulgaria compensated for a weaker reception percentage with a more effective attack and a stronger serve.
