The second men's national volleyball team of Bulgaria won the "Chaika" tournament held in Skopje, after a convincing 3:0 (25:20, 28:26, 25:23) victory over North Macedonia in the decisive match in "Boris Trajkovski" hall.
The team, led by Francesco Mollo and Teodor Bogdanov, showed a strong performance, even though they faced serious resistance in the second and third sets. In these sets, the Bulgarian players had to turn the tide, but managed to finish the match with a win.
Key to the success was the blocking game, with Bulgaria recording 11 points on this element. Hristiyan Dimitrov, who was the top scorer in the match, finished with 16 points and 2 aces, as the player the team relied on for a successful outcome. A day earlier, Bulgaria also achieved a 3:1 (25:23, 27:25, 18:25, 25:22) victory against Switzerland, and again Hristiyan Dimitrov was the top scorer with 19 points and 3 aces.
Individual Awards
Two Bulgarian volleyball players were honored with individual awards at the tournament. Opposite Hristiyan Dimitrov earned the title of tournament MVP, thanks to his consistent performance in the matches.

Setter Lyuboslav Telkiyski was chosen as the best in his position.

Following their success in Skopje, the Bulgarian nationals demonstrated an excellent performance with a squad that combines young and experienced players, and will certainly help them in their preparation for the next challenges on the international stage.
Bulgaria's victory against North Macedonia shows solid defense and dominance in blocking, with the 11 points scored on this element indicating a strong collective team spirit. Hristiyan Dimitrov is a standout player, both in the match against Switzerland and against Macedonia, which is a serious signal of his potential and importance to the team.
