The Bulgarian men's national team under 21 finished its preparatory camp with three victories in friendly matches played in the French city of Metz. The team led by Ventsislav Simeonov and Todor Aleksiev showed excellent form in the dress rehearsal before the World Championship.

The young "lions" twice prevailed over Brazil - with 3:1 and 3:0, and in their last match convincingly outplayed Germany with 3:0.
Jasmin Velichkov and Nikolay Nikolaev, who played in the World Championship in Tashkent with the U19 national team, did not participate in the friendlies. The two are expected to join the U21 camp in Samokov after the team's return from France.
Kristiyan Titriyski is out of the squad and will not travel to the World Championship due to an operation.
Bulgaria has been drawn into Group C of the U21 Men's World Championship. Opponents in the group will be:
