BG Sports will show Turkish volleyball in Thailand. No, it's not a Bulgarian TV channel

The elite women's Sultans League is hitting screens in Asia, while in Bulgaria we are still waiting for serious international volleyball on air

BG Sports. Sounds like a Bulgarian sports channel, right? But it's not. This is a Thai digital platform that has made a serious step towards volleyball globalization - it has acquired the broadcasting rights for the Turkish Sultans League, the highest level in women's volleyball in Turkey. This was reported by media in our southern neighbor.

This means that fans in Thailand will now be able to watch live every week the matches of one of the strongest and most attractive championships in Europe, where superstars like Vargas, Boskovic and many others play.

📺 What does the deal include?

With the new partnership, BG Sports will offer:

  • Live broadcast of Sultans League matches

  • High picture quality and modern production

  • Commentary and content aimed at the Thai audience

A statement from the company says this is a "major turning point for volleyball in Thailand," and fans will have the opportunity to watch "world-class battles in real time."

🌍 International effect

This deal is not just a technical move. It has strategic significance:

  • Turkish volleyball expands its global visibility, especially in Asia, where women's volleyball is at an exceptionally high level.

  • Thailand benefits by providing its audience with content that inspires a new generation and creates a culture of elite sport.

  • For Turkish clubs, this means increased brand value, sponsorship interest, and new markets.

We see that countries with a volleyball culture and ambitions — even like Thailand — make targeted investments to attract an audience. This is not only a media deal but also a message: volleyball can be a major sport if presented correctly.
Will we ever see a "BG Sports" in Bulgaria that means exactly that — Bulgarian sport, from Bulgaria, for the world?
