Bulgaria U21 (women) is already in Surabaya after a 30-hour journey: World Cup starts against Brazil

The Bulgarian women's national team U21 is already in the Indonesian city of Surabaya, where it will participate in the World Volleyball Championship for this age group. The journey of the Bulgarian delegation lasted over 30 hours, and the team will have limited time for acclimatization before its first match.

Staff and representatives

The head of the delegation is Boris Halachev, and the team is led by Dragan Nesic, who will make his debut at a world forum in this role. Bulgaria will also be represented by international referee Aleksandar Vinaliev, chairman of the referee committee at the federation.

Group and program

The national team is part of Group D, where it will face five strong opponents:

  • Brazil

  • Tunisia

  • Thailand

  • Chile

Our first match is on August 7 (Thursday) against Brazil at 12:00 PM Bulgarian time. In the following days, matches against Tunisia, Chile, Japan, and Thailand are scheduled.
