The Belgian coach stated that he is trying to solve the problem of Chinese players playing abroad.

China, under the guidance of Vital Heynen, returned to the Nations League and finished 8th in the tournament this season. Heynen explained what hinders Chinese volleyball:

"Chinese people are not keen on going abroad, and the players themselves are not keen on leaving their homeland. This affects the volleyball played by the national team. This is a problem that has prevented volleyball from developing rapidly in the last 40 years. Now I am trying to change that. Will it work? That is the question," Heynen said in an interview forSport.pl.

Heynen's contract is valid until 2028 under a 3+2 year scheme, meaning until the Los Angeles Olympics. The coach hopes that the Chinese federation will cooperate with him. He also noted the excellent infrastructure in the vast country.

The coach added: "No other country has such good working conditions in terms of organization and infrastructure. I'm sorry, but Europe cannot even dream of something like this. I have four or five training bases just for volleyball like this. It's incredible! Everything is there," Heynen said.

It should be noted that Belogorie has the Chinese attacker Jining Zhang. He missed the entire Nations League tournament due to injury.
