Italy announced the extended squad for the 2025 Volleyball World Championship

Today, the Italian Volleyball Federation officially announced to the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) the list of 25 players included in the extended squad for the 2025 Men's Volleyball World Championship. The championship will take place from September 12 to 28 in Manila, Philippines.

Italy will defend its title from the last World Championship and will once again be among the main favorites for gold. Head coachFerdinando De Giorgiwill determine the final group of14 volleyball playerswho will represent the country in Manila.

Italy begins its participation on September 14 (Sunday), when it will faceAlgeriaat 3:30 PM Bulgarian time. This will be followed by matches againstBelgium(September 16, 3:30 PM) andUkraine(September 18, 3:30 PM).
