The Polish men's national team qualified for the semi-finals of the Nations League after achieving a convincing 3:0 (25:22, 36:34, 25:15) victory over Japan in a quarter-final clash played in Ningbo, China.

Nikola Grbic's team left no doubt about their superiority. Only in the second set did the Japanese offer serious resistance, with the two teams exchanging leads in a dramatic game that lasted a full 70 points. However, the Poles showed class and character at the end, after which they completely dominated the third set.

This was the only quarter-final that ended in three sets. Among the best performers was opposite hitter Kevin Sasak, who solidified his growing role in the Polish team.

Friday will be a rest day for the Poles, and on Saturday they face a semi-final clash against Brazil - a repeat of last year's tournament final.
