The Bulgarian Volleyball Federation (BVF) is limiting the number of foreign players in the Demax+ League starting from the 2025/2026 season.

The Management Board of the Bulgarian Volleyball Federation (BVF) made a decision to reduce the number of foreign players in the women's championship \u2013 Demax+ League. The new regulation comes into force from the 2025/2026 season and aims to give a greater chance for Bulgarian volleyball players to perform.

New rules for foreign players

According to the adopted changes, teams will now be able to register up to3 playerswhose national federation is not BVF, compared to the current 4. In addition, simultaneously on the playing field (including the libero) there will be able to beonly 2 foreign playersinstead of the current 3.

"The goal is to provide a stable environment for the development of young Bulgarian athletes, who are already demonstrating impressive results in international youth tournaments," emphasized the BVF.
