Former Neftochimik opposite Rafal Faryna returns to Poland

Polish opposite hitter Rafał Faryna, who started last season at "Neftochimic Burgas" but cut it short due to a severe health problem (a ruptured ulcer), will play in his homeland again. He was presented as a new acquisition for "Czarni Radom," which will fight for promotion to the Polish First League in the 2025/2026 season.

Faryna signed with the Radom club for the third time in his career. He last played for the team in the 2021/2022 season, and his first stint there was during his youth (2012–2014).

After that, his path led him to "Camper Wyszków" and other clubs, both in Poland and abroad. Last season, he was briefly part of "Trefl Gdańsk" as a temporary replacement for an injured player, and then he moved to Burgas's "Neftochimic." It was precisely in Bulgaria that the health problems arose, which forced him to terminate his participation in the middle of the season.

🏐 New Acquisitions and Ambitions for "Czarni Radom"

Besides Faryna, experienced setter Kacper Gonciarz is also returning to "Czarni Radom." He last played for the team in the 2016/2017 season, and in the last two years, he was part of "CKS Chełm," with whom he won promotion to the PlusLiga, albeit mainly as a reserve.

After failing to return to the elite in their first season after relegation, the Radom team will try to attack the top again. This will be the club's second consecutive season in the lower division.

💰 Financial Difficulties and Late Selection

The club started building the squad relatively late due to financial problems that had to be resolved first. Only then did they proceed with announcing the new names. The beginning was marked by the return of coach Krzysztof Michalski, as well as the renewal of the contract with libero Paweł Filipowicz.

With the signing of Faryna and Gonciarz, the management of "Czarni" shows that it has ambitions and a plan to return to the PlusLiga. The experience of the two, combined with their familiarity with the club and the atmosphere in Radom, could prove crucial in the battle for promotion.
