The middle blocker of Perugia is recovering quickly and successfully from his injury

Roberto Russo, currently playing for 'Sir Safety', has received a call-up from the Italian Volleyball Federation, upon recommendation of head coach Ferdinando De Giorgi, for a training camp with the men's national team at the Olympic Training Center in Rome, reports the official website of Perugiasirsafetyperugia.it.

The staff will consist of Fef de Giorgi, as well as assistant coaches Massimo Caponeri and Marco Meoni, strength and conditioning coach Nicola Giolito, scoutman Ivan Contrario, and team manager Giacomo Giretto. The team will be completed by the medical staff, represented by Francesco Lanzani and physiotherapist Fabio Rossin.

For middle blocker Roberto Russo, who will play his seventh consecutive season with President Gino Sirci's club this year, his medical and athletic recovery continues according to a program planned for him by the 'Bianconeri' staff. It was developed in close consultation and active cooperation with the medical staff of the Italian national team. The work is going well, as he himself emphasized:

"The recovery is going well and progress is visible day by day. From July 24th to 26th, I will be at a training camp with the national team, where I will continue my physical and athletic rehabilitation work."

The goal is to get him back on the court after a full and stable recovery. Roberto Russo also admitted that he can't wait to play again:

"I miss the excitement on the court and the opportunity to play matches with my teammates, and that's why I can't wait to return to the court!"
