One of the most anticipated matches in the final phase of the Women's Volleyball Nations League 2025 will be the clash betweenItaly and USA- a repeat of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games final. Back then, the Italians triumphed with gold after a dominant 3:0 victory over the Americans.

Now the two teams meet as early as the quarterfinals in the tournament in Lodz, with a spot in the semifinals at stake. The match not only promises a high level of volleyball but also carries an additional charge - revenge for the USA and an opportunity for Italy to solidify its dominance on the world stage.
Japan vs. Turkeyalso attracts attention with an interesting twist — the coach of the Japanese women's national team is the TurkFerhat Akbas, who becomes the first foreigner to lead the Japanese team.

Four quarterfinal pairs have been formed, as follows:

The winners of these clashes will qualify for the semi-finals on Saturday, July 26.
The final and the 3rd place match will be played on Sunday, July 27. The quarter-final losers will not play additional matches – their ranking from 5th to 8th place will be determined according to their position from the intercontinental phase.

Last year's tournament was held in Bangkok, where Italy won the title, Japan took the silver, and Poland the bronze. All these teams are once again among the final eight, promising an intriguing battle for medals in 2025 as well.
