For the second consecutive year, the men's team ofDobrudzha 07is experiencing serious difficulties with its registration for participation in efbet Super Volley. While last season Dobrich managed to meet the licensing requirements literally at the last moment and were admitted to participate, this time luck was not on their side.
The National Volleyball League officially announced that the club from Dobrich will not be admitted to participate in the new 2025/26 season. The reason – failure to meet the financial requirements set out in Article 19.1 of the regulations, related to obligations to players, coaches, and staff, as well as the absence of a certificate from the NRA for no debts – a document without which licensing is impossible.
“We sincerely hoped that our colleagues from Dobrich would be able to solve their problems, because Dobrich has always been an important volleyball center. But the rules are clear and must be followed. Volleyball clubs must be an example of integrity and financial fair play,” said Zhivko Zhelev, president of the NVL-Men.
With this, efbet Super Volley will start with 11 teams, and one team will rest in each round.
However,Dobrudzha 07is given the opportunity to continue participating at a lower level – the club has until August 15 (12:00 PM) to apply for participation in the Higher League. Even in such a scenario, obligations to staff remain and will be taken into account if the team applies for efbet Super Volley again in the future.
After Dobrudzha's withdrawal, the licensing commission confirmed thatDunavandDeya Sportwho also had remarks on their documentation, have managed to meet all requirements within the provided 30-day period and will be part of the elite.
The new regulation stipulates the following: the 11th team in the regular season standings will play a playout against the loser of the Higher League final, and the champion of the second tier will receive direct promotion to efbet Super Volley.
