"I think we did well today," the national team captain told volleyweek.bg. "Of course, there are always things to improve. There were moments we need to iron out – I personally was annoyed that I couldn't finish the first game point, but then we managed to close the set positively. The whole match went point for point. Maybe we need to bring a little more emotion onto the court. And against Cuba, we started the first set a bit sleepy, with hesitation – and that's something we need to work on."
Cuba is already in the past, as is China. It was a tough evening after that match, the emotion wasn't good, but we shook it off quickly. We are professionals – that's our job: to mobilize and be ready for the next match.
I heard comments about the attitude of the Polish crowd towards us – I don't fully agree. After the match, I greeted the crowd, and many people were happy and applauded. It's normal to have some booing – after all, tomorrow we play against the hosts. But I believe there will be emotion, the hall will be full, and it will be a show. I expect a tough clash – both Poland and we are pushed against the wall. They lost yesterday, and we also have something to prove. I hope we show our best. As for the victory – we'll see.
After that, we also have the last match against Iran. Last year we had three wins, now we have five. I hope to add two more. But first – rest and full concentration for tomorrow's game.
