The 2025/26 season in the Italian Volleyball SuperLega begins with several significant changes and strategic decisions that will shape the championship's appearance in the coming years. The biggest innovation is undoubtedly related to theItalian Supercup, whichwill be held for the first time outside the country – on November 8 and 9, 2025, in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

The top four teams from the previous season will compete for the trophy in a two-day format:
Semi-finals – November 8, 2025:

The matches will be played as part of amulti-year agreement with Saudi Arabia, with which Italian volleyball takes a decisive step towards globalization.

The next key event in the calendar will be Del Monte Italian Cup, which will retain its classic format but will be strategically placed in the middle of the season:
SuperLega Quarter-finals - December 30, 2025
Final Four - February 7-8, 2026
The clashes will pit the best teams from the regular season against each other, and a tournament spirit will add extra excitement to the championship.
For the remaining levels of the League system:
Italian Cup Serie A2: the final is scheduled for February 22, 2026, and the A2 Super Cup will be played on April 5 or 6, 2026
Italian Cup Serie A3: the Final Four will beMarch 7-8, 2026, with the Super Cup planned forApril 18 or 19, 2026.

The championship will offeran innovative and asymmetric calendar, in which the matches from the first and second half of the season will not follow the same sequence – a decision dictated by organizational considerations.

Intense rounds follow on October 26 and 29, and by the end of 2025, 13 full rounds will have been played. The spring phase will conclude in February 2026.

A long-time legal consultant and expert in sports law.

"After 25 years, I believe it's time for new energy and vision," Righi shared.
"For me, this is a dream come true - to lead a structure to which I owe a large part of my professional journey," Fiscetto emotionally said upon his appointment.
Fabio Fiscetto was born in 1970 and has over 15 years of experience in sports administration and participation in league management.
