Lokomotiv Avia (Plovdiv) debuts in the CEV Cup

The vice-champion of BulgariaLokomotiv Avia (Plovdiv)will make a historic debut inthe second strongest European club tournament - the CEV Cup. This became clear after today's draw in Luxembourg.

The 'Smurfs' will join directly from1/16 finals, where they will meet one of the teams eliminated from the second qualifying round of the Men's Champions League. Potential opponents are:

  • Strumica (North Macedonia)

  • Dinamo (Bucharest, Romania)

  • Orion Stars (Doetinchem, Netherlands)

  • Ah Volley (Ljubljana, Slovenia)

The scheduleforesees Lokomotiv being the guest in the first match betweenDecember 9 and 11, and having the home advantage in the return leg betweenJanuary 6 and 8, 2026.

🗣The club states that participation in the CEV Cup is an important step in the team's ambitious program for development and international recognition.

🏐 Neftochimic 2010 (Burgas) starts against Chenois in the Challenge Cup

MeanwhileNeftochimic 2010 (Burgas), bronze medalist from efbet Super Volley, will face SwissChenois (Geneva) within the1/32 finals of the Challenge Cup — the third strongest club tournament on the Old Continent.

  • The team from Burgas will be the guest in the first match, scheduled for the periodNovember 11-13, 2025, and will host the Swiss at home betweenNovember 18 and 20.

If successful at this stage, Neftochimic will qualify for the1/16 finals, where they will meet the winner of the pair betweenPamesa (Teruel, Spain) andMaccabi (Tel Aviv, Israel).

Both Bulgarian representatives are expected to fight for a strong performance and solidify the name of Bulgarian club volleyball on the map of Europe.
