Levski fans still cherish the memories from last autumn, when their favorite team played directly in the group stage of the Champions League in volleyball and hosted some of Europe's strongest teams in Sofia.
But this year, the task will be much more difficult. Due to Bulgaria's low coefficient in the CEV rankings, our teams no longer have a guaranteed spot in the groups and must go through tough qualifications to earn it on the court.
🏐 Levski's path to the group stage
✈ Start directly from the second qualifying round
Levski still received a slight bonus from the draw - they start directly from the second qualifying round, because in the first round they were drawn with a "bye" (rest).
There, the "blues" will face the Croatian MOK Mursa Osijek in two matches on a home-and-away basis.
🥊
If Levski eliminates Mursa Osijek, they will have to playone more round(third), again in two matches, against the winner of another qualifying pair.
Only then will it become clear whether Levski will qualify for the Champions League groups.
🏆
Upon successful completion of these two qualifiers, Levski will be inGroup A, where three big European names are already waiting for them:
Trentino Itas (Italy)- European giant, winner of the Champions League trophy
Ziraat Bankkart Ankara (Turkey) — champion of Turkey
Tours VB (France) — multiple champion of France
