The legendary left-hander from Kraljevo, Uroš Kovačević, bid farewell to the "National Team"!

The two-time European champion with Serbia from 2011 and 2019 confirmed that he will no longer play for the national team

As a guest on the podcast "U tri seta," Uroš Kovačević announced his final decision, according to the local websitenova.rs.

"First, he put an end to the dilemma and said that he was done with his appearances for the national team, although he did not do so with 'big bells.' It's true that there was a possibility this wouldn't happen now, provided certain things were fulfilled, but he is definitely a former national player," wrote podcast author Siniša Stojmenović in the announcement of the new episode.

Uroš Kovačević, who turned 32 in May, is a two-time European champion (2011 and 2019), also winning the Nations League once in 2016, and debuted for Serbia back in 2011. The Serbian outside hitter's trophy cabinet is full of many other cups at junior, youth, and senior levels.

He has played in Serbia, Slovenia, Italy – his longest period, Qatar, China, Poland, and Russia.
