Two clubs are still waiting for a license for efbet Super Volley

Bulgarian volleyball elite prepares for the new season: 10 teams already licensed

✅ Licensed clubs

Just a few months before the start of the championship, 10 teams from efbet Super Volley have already received their licenses to participate in the 2025/26 season. This guarantees that autumn will begin with an almost full roster at the highest level of Bulgarian men's volleyball.

Among them is "Dunav" (Ruse), who had delays due to financial obligations but managed to meet all requirements within the extended deadline. On July 9, they provided the necessary documents, officially receiving a license, according to the National Volleyball League (NVL) website.

⏳ Clubs awaiting: "Dea Sport" and "Dobrudzha 07"

The other two clubs still in the licensing process are "Dea Sport" (Burgas) and "Dobrudzha 07" (Dobrich). They have received instructions from the NVL-men, which they must fulfill to comply with the licensing rules. The league is optimistic that these two clubs will also successfully complete the procedures in time, so there are no absent teams in the elite.

Otherwise - if a club fails to meet the criteria - the NVL stated that they would not invite a team from the Super League to fill the spot, which is done to adhere to the sporting principle and avoid compromising the championship format.

📅 Season Calendar: clarity even before the start

According to NVL Operations Director Hristo Apostolov, for almost two years, the policy has been to plan the entire season before the first whistle. This significantly facilitates clubs in their preparation for training camps, control matches, travel, hotel, and sports hall reservations.

Here are the main highlights of the program:

  • 🏆 Bulgarian Supercup - scheduled to take place before the start of the championship, but the exact dates will be set after the draw for the European club tournaments.

  • 🔥 Championship start: between October 24 and 27, 2025.

  • 🎄 End of the first half-season: December 22, 2025.

  • 🏅 Bulgarian Cup: scheduled for January 2026.

  • ✅ Resumption of the second half-season: in mid-January.

  • 🎯 Start of the playoffs: March 21, 2026.

  • 🏆 Possible 5th final match: May 5, 2026.

🗣️ What Hristo Apostolov said:

"Dunav are now fully compliant and meet all requirements. We hope that our colleagues from Dobrich and Burgas will also manage to cope so that we can start the championship with a full squad. If any club does not meet the criteria, we will not invite from the Super League for understandable reasons."

🏐 Conclusion

Everything suggests that we can expect a competitive season in efbet Super Volley, with a tight schedule and clear goals from the start. The biggest challenge remains the full licensing of all clubs, which will guarantee a quality and fair championship. Fans can now start the countdown until the end of October, when volleyball emotion will once again take over the halls in Bulgaria.
