Slavia continues to seek its first victory in WINBET Super Volley during the 2026/2027 season. The Sofia team suffered a third consecutive defeat after losing to the Bulgarian Cup holder Neftochimic with 0:3 (16:25, 14:25, 21:25) in the "Panayot Pondalov" hall in Sofia.
The start of the championship proved to be extremely difficult for Slavia's young squad. After losses to CSKA and Montana in the first two rounds, the "whites" also had to face one of the contenders for the top spots - Neftochimic.
The Burgas team controlled the first game, taking an 8:6 lead, increasing their advantage to 16:10 and 21:14, before closing the set with 25:16. In the second game, the visitors' superiority was even more pronounced. Neftochimic led 8:3 and 16:8, and at 21:11 the difference already reached ten points. The final 25:14 gave the national cup holder a comfortable two-set lead.
The third set was the most contested. Slavia managed to put up a more serious resistance and trailed only 13:16 and 17:21, but the Burgas team did not allow a comeback and finished the match with 25:21.

Stoyan Dimitrov was the most effective for Neftochimic with 14 points, of which 13 were from attack with 57% success rate and one ace. Todor Valchev added 12 points, and Vladislav Ivanov finished with 11. Martin Krastev contributed 8 points.
For Slavia, Boris Kitov was the most effective with 6 points. The ten-year younger squad of the "whites" also relied on Andrey Kovachev, Yordan Lalev, and other players who are gaining experience in the elite.

Statistics from the official BFV protocol show a clear superiority of Neftochimic in attack - 42 points scored with 58% success rate against 27 points and 36% for the hosts. The Burgas team also dominated in blocking with 9 against 2 points, as well as from service - 6 aces against 2.

Slavia's tough schedule continues on November 7, when the "whites" will visit champion Levski in the capital derby of the fourth round.
Thus, in the first four rounds, Slavia has to face CSKA, Montana, Neftochimic, and Levski - a series of serious challenges for the young team, which is still awaiting its first success of the season.
