Iva Dudova made a brief appearance in VakifBank's dramatic comeback against Eczacibasi

Bulgarian international Iva Dudova made a brief appearance in the big derby of the fourth round of the Turkish Sultans League, in which Eczacıbaşı Dynavit (Istanbul) suffered a comeback from 2:0 to 2:3 (25:14, 25:18, 18:25, 22:25, 9:15) against VakıfBank.
The young opposite hitter came on as a substitute in the second set but failed to score. Dudova had one attacking opportunity, which she did not convert, and finished the match without points.
Giulio Bregoli's Eczacıbaşı started impressively, winning the first two sets with a convincing margin. However, the visitors gradually found their rhythm and managed to equalize, then asserted their superiority in the tie-break with a 15:9 win.
Ekaterina Antropova was the top scorer in the match with 26 points, including four aces and one block. Ebrar Karakurt added 20, and Aleksandra Uzelac finished with 14 points.
For the winners, Tijana Bošković and Marina Markova scored 23 points each, making a key contribution to the comeback.
This was Eczacıbaşı's first loss in the championship after three consecutive wins. VakıfBank continues undefeated and leads the standings with four wins and 11 points.
On October 25, Dudova and her teammates will visit Fenerbahçe Medicana in another derby of the Turkish championship.
