Hristina Vuchkova recites a Russian classic after the first championship victory

Hristina Vuchkova celebrated Tulitsa's first victory in the Russian Super League with poetry. In the interview after the success over Lokomotiv (Kaliningrad), the Bulgarian central blocker recited in Russian the opening verses from Ivan Bunin's "Leaf Fall," dedicated to the colorfulness of the autumn forest.
The club shared the moment on its social media and official website with the playful question: "Have you ever seen anything like this in an interview?" Thus, Vuchkova added a literary accent to the microphones, alongside the joy of the first success of the season.

Before the recital, the Bulgarian also made a significant contribution on the court. Tulitsa overturned the hosts with a 3:1 (19:25, 25:20, 25:18, 27:25) victory in a third-round match played on October 16 in the Yantarny Hall.
Vuchkova started as a regular in all four sets and finished with 9 points - 4 in attack, 4 blocks, and 1 ace. She converted four of her six attacks for a 67% success rate, with no errors and no blocked shots, and was the most effective blocker in the match.
The success marked the debut of Tulitsa's new head coach, Igor Jakic. After losing the first set, the visitors took the initiative and won the next two. The fourth set was the most dramatic, in which they erased a large deficit and closed the match with 27:25 after an ace by Alexandra Mamedova.
"After the first set, we calmed down, the coach explained to us, and we all understood how to act," Vuchkova commented to the official website of the Russian federation.
Mamedova was the top scorer for the winners with 21 points, and Valeria Turchina added 17. For Lokomotiv, Kissy Nascimento finished with 17 points.
Tulitsa broke a two-match losing streak at the start of the championship. In the next round, Vuchkova's team will host the champion Dinamo-Ak Bars (Kazan) on October 25.
