Halkbank (Ankara), led by Radostin Stoychev and with Matey Kaziyski and Denislav Bardarov in its squad, will learn its opponent in the quarterfinals of the Turkish Cup on October 22. The draw for the final phase of the tournament will be held in Istanbul at 10:00 AM Bulgarian time.
The Turkish Volleyball Federation (TVF) officially announced that the ceremony will take place at the headquarters of the insurance company AXA Sigorta, which is the main sponsor of the competition. The draw will be broadcast live on the federation's official YouTube channel.

Halkbank is among the four seeded teams along with Ziraat Bankkart, Galatasaray, and Spor Toto. The four teams are pre-distributed in the bracket and will not be able to meet in the quarterfinals.
The potential opponents for Stoychev's team are Fenerbahçe Medicana, On Hotels Alanya Belediyespor, Akedaş Onikişubat Belediyespor, and Gebze Belediyespor.
The top five teams from the final standings in the Turkish championship during the 2025/2026 season qualified directly for the quarterfinals. The remaining three spots were determined after the group stage, held between October 8 and 10 in Ankara and Izmir.
The quarterfinal matches are scheduled for November 17 and 18 and will be played in a single match. The winners will advance to the final four, for which the dates and venue are yet to be announced.
The preliminary bracket places Halkbank in the same half as Galatasaray, meaning the two teams could meet in the semifinals. Ziraat Bankkart and Spor Toto are in the other half.
For Radostin Stoychev and Matey Kaziyski, the tournament also holds a special memory. In the 2013/2014 season, they won the Turkish Cup with Halkbank, with the team also triumphing in the championship title and the country's Super Cup, and reaching the final in the Champions League.
Now Stoychev is once again at the helm of the Ankara team, and Kaziyski is its captain. Bulgarian international Denislav Bardarov joined them in the summer. Thus, Halkbank enters the new season with a strong Bulgarian presence and ambitions for trophies on the domestic and international stage.
The current holder of the Turkish Cup is Ziraat Bankkart, who will try to defend their title in 2027.
