Galatasaray (Istanbul) won the Turkish Men's Volleyball Super Cup after defeating Ziraat Bankkart (Ankara) 3:1 (25:22, 25:21, 19:25, 25:21). This is the Istanbul club's second trophy in the competition's history, following their first success in 2019.
The final of the 17th edition of the tournament took place on October 12 in the new sports hall in Kırıkkale, whose official opening coincided with the match.
Canadian international Stephen Maar was named the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the match. The outside hitter finished with 21 points, including 4 successful blocks, and was instrumental in the victory of the team led by Italian specialist Andrea Gardini.

Efe Mandıracı added 16 points, while French Olympic champion Jean Patry scored 12. For Ziraat, Dutch opposite Nimir Abdel-Aziz scored 30 points, but his performance was not enough for success.
Galatasaray won the first two sets 25:22 and 25:21. Ziraat reduced their deficit after 25:19 in the third set, but the Istanbul team closed the match with 25:21 in the fourth set.
The decisive advantage for the winners came from blocking. Galatasaray scored 11 direct points from this element against only 5 for their opponent. Both teams finished with equal attack efficiency - 49%, with Ziraat having a minimal advantage in aces (5 against 4).
American setter Micah Ma'a also contributed to the success with 6 points, including 2 aces and 2 blocks.
The victory had additional value for Galatasaray. Last season, Ziraat won the championship title and the Turkish Cup, prevailing over their Istanbul rival in the finals of both competitions. Now, Gardini's team took revenge and started the new campaign with a trophy.
