The 23-year-old Bulgarian outside hitter Dariya Ivanova will play for OTP Bank Branik (Maribor) in the new season. The team is the reigning champion of Slovenia and will participate in the Champions League qualifiers.
Ivanova arrives from Vasas Obuda, with whom she won the Hungarian title last season. Prior to that, she played for the Romanian team Alba Blaj.
According to the Slovenian newspaper "Večer", the Bulgarian player is already training under the guidance of Žiga Kos. The club announced the transfer on Instagram with a welcome message also in Bulgarian: "Welcome, Dariya!"
The Bulgarian player will also have the opportunity to play in European club tournaments, as OTP Bank Branik will participate in the Champions League qualifiers.
