The program for Metalurg (Pernik) for the Balkan Cup (BVA Cup), which will be held from October 17 to 19 in Kalamata, Greece, has become clear. The Bulgarian representative will play three matches within three days, with a significant stake being a quota for European club tournaments.
Four teams participate in the competition – host Kalamata 1980, Metalurg, Turkish Istanbul Genclik, and Luboteni (Ferizaj) from Kosovo. The format is round-robin, with the tournament winner earning the right to participate in the CEV Challenge Cup.
Metalurg's program:
October 17, 8:00 PM: Kalamata 1980 – Metalurg
October 18, 5:00 PM: Metalurg – Istanbul Genclik
October 19, 5:00 PM: Metalurg – Luboteni (Ferizaj)
The tournament will be held in the hall of the Municipal Stadium in Kalamata, with two matches on each of the three days.

Metalurg earned the right to represent Bulgaria in the Balkan Cup after the Bulgarian Volleyball Federation confirmed the Pernik club's participation back in August.

The tournament will also be the first opportunity for new signing David Barutov to record official minutes with the Metalurg team after his transfer to Pernik.
