Bulgarian international Miroslava Paskova will play again for LPBank Ninh Bình in Vietnam. The club has signed the outside hitter for the decisive second phase of the local championship, which will take place from October 14 to 25 in Vinh Long. For Paskova, this is a return to a familiar environment. She also played for Ninh Binh in 2025, when she performed strongly in the Vietnamese championship. Now, the 30-year-old Bulgarian has once again been brought in as a foreign reinforcement for the most important part of the season.
The news is particularly interesting for another reason. This will be Paskova's return to competitive action after the serious knee surgery she underwent after Bulgaria's participation in the Nations League.
AsVolleyweek.bgwrote back in July, the international player went through VNL 2026 with a serious injury. An MRI scan even before the start of the tournament showed torn menisci, but Paskova herself decided to postpone the surgery to help Bulgaria in the battle to stay in the Nations League. After the tournament, she also needed cartilage reconstruction, and in the last days of the VNL, an additional knee problem appeared, the nature of which had to be determined during the intervention itself.
Despite the injury, Paskova participated in 11 of Bulgaria's 12 matches in the VNL and finished the tournament with 83 points – 72 from attack, 5 from blocks, and 6 aces.
The commitment in Vietnam comes before her return to the USA. Paskova remains part of LOVB Atlanta, with whom she is scheduled to play in the new season of the American professional league. Thus, the period in Ninh Binh will give her the opportunity to regain game rhythm after a long recovery.
Just ten days ago, Vietnamese media reported that Ninh Binh was close to an agreement with the Bulgarian. Now the transfer is a fact, and the Shining Stars agency, which represents Paskova, welcomed her with "Hello Vietnam" and labeled her move as "Renewal" – a renewal of cooperation.
