Mario Petkov continues in Greece

Bulgarian opposite hitter Mario Petkov will continue his career in Greece, after being officially presented as a new addition to Milon. The 20-year-old volleyball player joins the club from Nea Smyrni after a season with Aris (Thessaloniki). Petkov is 202 centimeters tall and plays as an opposite hitter. He is the son of CSKA and national team legend Petko Petkov, who is a silver medalist from the Moscow Olympics. Last season, Petkov Jr. was part of Aris along with experienced Bulgarian opposite hitter Boyan Yordanov. The two were part of the squad that won promotion to the Greek Volley League.
"Mario comes to Milon with energy, strength and ambition, ready to be another important weapon in our team's new endeavor," the club wrote when presenting the Bulgarian.
Before his time in Greece, Petkov played for Zvezdets in Bulgaria.
