Montana won the pre-season ProPlay Cup tournament in Pernik. In the final, Dani Peev's team defeated the host Metalurg with a score of 3:1 (28:26, 25:20, 14:25, 25:18).
The first set offered the most intrigue. Montana held the lead for most of it, but Metalurg managed to stay in the fight until the very end. The decision came after extra points – 28:26 for Montana.
In the second set, Montana gradually imposed its game and after 16:14, increased its lead to reach 25:20 and a 2:0 advantage.
However, the hosts' reaction was decisive. At the beginning of the third set, Metalurg shocked their opponent with a strong serving run and took an 8:1 lead. The Pernik team did not relinquish the initiative, increased the difference to 16:7 and 21:11, and closed the set with a convincing 25:14.
Montana did not allow this to change the direction of the final. In the fourth set, Dani Peev's team tightened their ranks, built a comfortable lead – 16:12 and 21:15, and did not give Metalurg a chance to make a comeback. At 25:18, the match ended, and the ProPlay Cup traveled to Montana.
The most effective player for the winners was Joao Vitor with 15 points, who was named player of the match.

Nikolay Ivanov added 13 points, and Viktor Zekov – 8. Montana finished with 46 points from attack, 9 blocks, and 7 aces.
For Metalurg, Konstantin Manolev scored 18 points, Mariyan Nakov added 15, and Krasimir Mitev – 8. The hosts had an advantage in blocking – 12 against 9, but Montana was more effective in attack – 44% against 42%.
