17-year-old Bulgarian volleyball player Edna Todorova will play for Førde in the 2026/27 season. The outside hitter moves to her new club from Volda, where she gained significant experience in Norwegian volleyball.
Førde presented the Bulgarian as one of the great talents and emphasized that she will combine volleyball with her professional education. Todorova has a professional training contract as an "automatiker" - a qualification in the field of electrical engineering and automated systems, where the training is combined with real practice in a company.
Todorova is having another busy summer with the Bulgarian national teams. She was captain of the U18 team that won the Balkan Championship in Tirana, and Edna herself was chosen as the MVP of the tournament. She then played at the U18 European Championship, where Bulgaria finished in seventh place.
In August, Todorova was also part of the older age group - the U20 national team, which participated in the zonal qualification for Euro 2027 in Mostar. Bulgaria finished fifth in the tournament after a 3:2 (25:23, 25:15, 17:25, 15:25, 16:14) victory over Serbia in their last match.
Førde also recalls the Bulgarian's great successes from the previous two years - the European title with Bulgaria U18 in 2024 and the historic world title with the U19 national team in 2025.
