A technical problem prevented the match between Levski and PAOK at the international tournament "Ligistis 2026" in Florina from being played to completion. The two teams finished at 2:2 (25:23, 20:25, 22:25, 25:19), without playing a decisive fifth set.
The "Blues" won the first set 25:23, after which PAOK turned the score to 2:1 after 25:20 and 25:22. In the fourth set, the coach of the Greek team, Valandis Mamais, completely changed the starting seven and gave playing time to all available players. Levski equalized after 25:19, and the technical problem that arose led to a decision by both teams not to play a tie-break. After the four sets played, both teams had an equal number of points – 92:92. The match lasted 1 hour and 38 minutes.
Dimitar Peychinov played a strong match in the middle for the Bulgarian champion. He finished with 12 points, scoring 5 out of 8 attacks (62%), without an error or blocked attack, and added 4 aces and 3 blocks.
The performance of the 213-centimeter Peychinov is interesting also because of the change in his position in recent months. Last season, he was registered at Levski as an opposite hitter. At the beginning of the men's national team's preparation in May, Gianlorenzo Blengini started using him as a middle blocker. After that, Peychinov played in this position for the U20 national team, and now continues as a middle blocker for Levski.
This is the second consecutive match in which Peychinov reaches double-digit points. In Levski's 3:2 (23:25, 23:25, 25:21, 25:21, 15:13) victory over Vojvodina, he recorded 11 points – 5 from attack, 5 blocks, and 1 ace. Thus, in the two matches, the middle blocker has a total of 23 points, of which 8 blocks and 5 aces.
The top scorer for Levski against PAOK was Kristiyan Titriyski with 20 points – 18 from attack and 2 aces. Gordan Lyutskanov added 14.
