Neftochimic 2010 won the "Stara Zagora" cup

Neftochimic 2010 won its first trophy for the 2026/27 season. The Burgas team finished with three wins from three matches at the Stara Zagora Cup tournament, after defeating Serbia's record champion Vojvodina (Novi Sad) 3-0 (25:20, 30:28, 25:21) in their last match.
Thus, Ivan Stanev's team secured first place even before the last match of the tournament between host Beroe and CSKA. The Cup was presented to Neftochimic immediately after their victory over Vojvodina.
Stanev made one change to the starting lineup, with Dimitar Vasilev starting instead of Adam Bartosz. The other outside hitter was Stefan Skakic, while Konstantin Chipev and Yasen Petrov alternated as libero. Neftochimic started strong with a 4:0 lead after two aces from Vladimir Stankov and controlled the first set to 25:20. The second set was much more difficult, with Vojvodina catching up and taking a 22:20 lead. Stefan Skakic shone at the end. The Serbian outside hitter scored four consecutive points for Neftochimic at the most tense moment, and Dimitar Vasilev finished the set 30:28. In the third set, the Burgas team pulled away at 11:7 and 16:11. Vojvodina managed to reduce the deficit to 15:19, but Neftochimic did not allow a comeback and finished the match 25:21.
