Neftochimik remained flawless, CSKA beat Vojvodina for the "Stara Zagora" cup

Neftochimic 2010 remained the only undefeated team at the international 'Stara Zagora' Cup tournament, while CSKA recorded their first victory in the competition.
The winner of the Bulgarian Cup defeated host Beroe 2016 with a score of 3:0 (25:23, 25:21, 25:21) and now has two wins from two matches. After a contested first set, the Burgas team was more stable in the decisive moments and in the next two. Ivan Stanev made only one change to the lineup, starting with Konstantin Chipev instead of Yasen Petrov, who appeared later.
CSKA avenged their defeat to Neftochimic on the first day and beat Vojvodina (Novi Sad) 3:0 (27:25, 25:23, 25:20). The 'Reds' snatched two contested sets, and in the third, they already had a more tangible advantage.
Before the last day, Neftochimic has two wins, CSKA and Vojvodina each have one, and Beroe is without a win. The Burgas team will win the trophy with a victory over Vojvodina, while in case of a loss, the battle for first place will remain open for CSKA as well.
Neftochimic and Vojvodina play tomorrow, October 3, at 3:30 PM, and at 6:00 PM, Beroe meets CSKA. After the second match, the awards ceremony and the official closing of the tournament will take place.
