Ferre Reggers overtook Aleksandar Nikolov in two of the individual rankings at EuroVolley 2026 after the quarter-final between Belgium and Slovenia. The Belgian opposite is now #1 in both scoring and successful attacks, but Nik Mujanović still has a chance to challenge for the top with Slovenia's remaining two matches.
Reggers finished with 23 points in Belgium's 1:3 (22:25, 22:25, 25:20, 13:25) loss to Slovenia and increased his tally to 143 points from seven matches and 28 played sets. This put him ahead of Aleksandar Nikolov, who ended his EuroVolley participation with 140 points from six matches and 24 sets.
Interestingly, the Bulgarian national player maintains a higher average scoring per set – 5.83 points against 5.11 for Reggers. However, the Belgian had the opportunity to add one more match after his team qualified for the quarter-finals, and it was in that match that he surpassed Nikolov.
Slovenian opposite Nik Mujanović is now third with 119 points. After Slovenia's qualification for the semi-finals, he will certainly play two more matches – a semi-final against Poland and then a final or a bronze medal match. This means that the 24-point difference to Reggers is completely surmountable. Mujanović has an average of 4.58 points per set so far.
Sam Deroo remains fourth with 114 points, even though his injury in the first set against Slovenia practically ended his participation in the quarter-final. Finnish player Luka Marttila has the same tally of 114 points and also has the opportunity to increase his score if Finland progresses.

The difference between Reggers and Nikolov in the ranking for most successful attacks is even smaller. The Belgian now has 121, while the Bulgarian outside hitter finished the tournament with 120.
However, even here the numbers show how strong a tournament Nikolov had. The Bulgarian recorded an average of 5 successful attacks per set, while Reggers has 4.32. Nikolov played four fewer sets – 24 against 28 for the Belgian.
Deroo is third in successful attacks with 99, and Mujanović is now fourth with 96. The Slovenian is 25 successful attacks behind Reggers and will have two matches in Milan to try and close that gap.

Thus, after Bulgaria's elimination, Aleksandar Nikolov is no longer at the top of the two rankings, but remains immediately behind Reggers – only 3 points behind in scoring and one successful attack behind in attackers. And the battle for the individual tops at EuroVolley is not over yet, because Nik Mujanović continues to the final four with Slovenia.
