Simeon Nikolov sent an emotional message after the end of Bulgaria's participation in EuroVolley 2026. The national team's setter emphasized the pride of playing for the country and the support the team received during the championship.
"I am proud to be Bulgarian. I am proud to fight for Bulgaria. I am proud of the hard work we put in with the boys, together. I am proud that there are other Bulgarians who care as much as we do. I am proud of the love I felt during this European Championship.
Bulgaria will be where it belongs," Simeon Nikolov wrote on social media.

His message comes after Bulgaria's elimination by Germany in the EuroVolley round of 16 and marks an emotional end to the championship, in which the national team received significant support from the stands in Sofia.
