Bulgarian coach Radostin Stoychev is the new head coach of the Turkish men's national volleyball team. According to information from the Serbian sports portalMeridian Sport, Stoychev was presented to the team this morning after an agreement was reached with the Turkish Volleyball Federation. There is still no official presentation of the Bulgarian on the federation's website.

The initial choice of the Turkish federation was the Serbian specialist Slobodan Kovac, but negotiations failed at the final stage due to financial disagreements. This led to a quick re-focus on Stoychev, who until now has coached the Turkish club team Halkbank. Negotiations with him were short and successful, and his official presentation is expected soon.
Stoychev's appointment comes at a time when the Turkish national team needs new energy and direction. In the Nations League, Turkey has recorded two wins - against Bulgaria and China - and six losses. The team has potential, but has not yet managed to realize it in stable and quality performances.
With his rich experience and successes at club level, including with Turkish Halkbank, Stoychev is expected to bring a new strategy and motivation to the team. It remains to be seen how the cooperation between him and the Turkish national selection will develop in the upcoming international competitions, the first of which is the third VNL tournament in Japan.
