Official: Son of French legend Hinault joins Alex Grozdanov in Polish champion

LUK Lublin, preparing to attack the top of the Polish PlusLiga and make its debut in the Champions League, now has another intriguing addition. The young French talent Hilir Henno was officially presented as a new teammate of the captain of the Bulgarian national team - Alex Grozdanov. This news generates great interest among fans in Bulgaria, who are eagerly awaiting to see how the two will partner in the team.

Rich volleyball heritage and impressive career

Henno arrives in Lublin with an impressive resume, despite his young age. He comes from the US collegiate championship, where he defended the colors of Irvine University. There he was among the leading figures and a main competitor for the NCAA title against another Bulgarian - Moni Nikolov.

Hilir is the son of the legendary French libero Hubert Henno - one of the greatest in the history of the position, multiple medalist with the French national team. Furthermore, his brother Mathis Henno is also a professional volleyball player and competes for Chaumont in France. Expectations for young Hilir are huge, and now he will have the opportunity to play side-by-side with the captain of the 'Lions' Alex Grozdanov.

Championship ambitions and a stable backbone

Last season was a true fairy tale for LUK Lublin. Under the leadership of Massimo Botti, the team won the Challenge Cup after a spectacular final against the Italian grand Cucina Lube Civitanova, and in Poland, they won the title, overcoming Aluron CMC Warta Zawiercie in the final series.

Despite the successes, a change occurred at the helm of the team - Massimo Botti moved to Asseco Resovia, and his place was taken by the experienced French specialist Stephane Antiga, who comes precisely from Rzeszow. This is an additional French touch to the Lublin project, which already relies on two promising Frenchmen in the face of Hilir Henno and the new coach.

Fortunately for the fans, the core of the championship squad was preserved. World star Wilfredo Leon will continue to wear the Lublin jersey next season, guaranteeing the necessary class for the club's European ambitions.

The Bulgarian trace becomes even more significant

With the addition of Hilir Henno, LUK Lublin becomes even more interesting for Bulgarian fans. Alex Grozdanov, the captain of our national team, will have the opportunity to work side by side with this promising French talent in battles for new titles and for a prestigious performance in the team's debut Champions League campaign.

It remains to be seen how their synchronicity will develop and how far their combined efforts will take them. One thing is for sure - with such names and with this sporting vision, LUK Lublin will be among the most curiously followed teams in Europe next season.
