Bulgarian setter Simeon Nikolov, who suffered an injury during the match against Turkey in the Nations League in Burgas, has a torn ligament in his left ankle. The 18-year-old great talent of Bulgarian volleyball made a point block for 13:11 in the second set of the match but landed on an opponent's foot and remained lying on the court. Moni had to be immediately taken to the hospital. The X-ray showed no ankle fracture. Nikolov has already started procedures with the national team's medical staff. Simeon is expected to be able to resume training within two weeks.
Bulgaria's coach Gianlorenzo Blengini included setter Lyuboslav Telkiyski in the squad. He immediately arrived in Burgas and will be in the group for the last match of the tournament from the second week of the Nations League against Ukraine this evening.
