The full schedule for the EuroVolley 2026 Round of 16, which will be played in Sofia, has now been finalized. After the end of the group stage, the four pairings from the bracket between Group B in Sofia and Group D in Cluj-Napoca became clear.
Bulgaria finished third in Group B with 11 points after four wins and one loss. Our national team remained behind Poland, which won the group with 13 points, and Ukraine with 12.
The third place sent Gianlorenzo Blengini's team against the second-placed team from Group D – Germany. The Germans finished the group stage with four wins, one loss, and 11 points, with their only defeat coming against France.

The Round of 16 match between Bulgaria and Germany will be played on September 19 at 19:00 in "Arena 8888 Sofia". The winner advances to the quarterfinals, which are also in Sofia.
Earlier on the same day, at 16:00, the winner of Group B, Poland, will face the fourth-placed team from Group D, Latvia.
Four Round of 16 matches in two days in Sofia
On September 20, the remaining two matches will be played. Ukraine, which finished second in Group B, will face the third-placed team from Group D, Romania, at 16:00. The winner of Group D, France, will meet the fourth-placed team from Group B, Portugal, at 19:00.
