Alex Grozdanov: "The mood is great - we're playing at home!"

Captain of the men's national volleyball team, Alex Grozdanov, stated that the team is in excellent spirits and eagerly awaits the start of the second week of the Nations League, which begins this week in Burgas.

Speaking to journalists in the coastal city, the middle blocker emphasized that playing at home is an additional incentive for the squad, and the atmosphere in the hall can be a decisive factor:
"After all, we are playing in Bulgaria – there's no way the mood can be bad. We are preparing well, everything is fine. We are looking forward to the matches."

Grozdanov stressed that the team relies on a strong serve and collective spirit, as these elements are at the core of their current growth:
"We are quite young. I think the collective is visible – this will be key now and in the coming years. We have a strong serve – although we make more mistakes, it is a very dangerous element in our game."

According to the captain, the emotion on the court and the support from the stands will be a key stimulus in decisive moments:
"Emotion, the crowd – these are the things we will rely on."

Regarding the upcoming matches, the volleyball player pointed out Japan as an extremely difficult opponent in the opening match:
"The first match will be the most serious – because it's the first and because it's against Japan. They play with a different style. It won't be easy at all, but the other matches will be just as difficult. Every game will be played – figuratively speaking – to the death."

The Bulgarian national team will play four matches in Burgas during the second week of the VNL tournament, with the hall in the coastal city already almost sold out.
