Montana's volleyball team continues to actively build its squad for the new season, with another young name joining the team - outside hitter Nikolay Stefanov. He played last season for Pirin (Razlog) on loan from Levski and established himself as one of the team's stable players, which finished ninth in the standings.
Stefanov's transfer to Montana came as a surprise to Pirin's management, which had counted on his presence for the new season as well. With his move to the new club, Montana's selection continues at a rapid pace.
Earlier, it became clear that Levski would also loan young setter Viktor Zhekov to Montana, who will fill the key position after the departure of Japanese playmaker Ito Hiroki.
With the latest additions, Montana's squad is beginning to take on clearer outlines. The confirmed players so far are:
Kaloyan Botev(libero)
Pavel Dushkov(middle blocker)
Bruno Rubbo(middle blocker)
Georgi Elchinov(captain, outside hitter)
Nikolay Stefanov(outside hitter)
Kristiyan Valchak(opposite hitter)
Viktor Zhekov(setter)
Montana is emerging as one of the teams with ambitions for a strong performance in the new season, relying on a combination of young talents and experienced players.
