Bulgarian national and opposite hitter Venislav Antov shared his impressions from the start of the training camp and the work with the national team. In a short but emotional video interview for Levski Sofia's club website, Antov stated:
Satisfied with the results and performance
"I'm glad that in the first week we managed to record two wins. I think we played well. Maybe in the last match against Canada we could have shown a bit more, but overall I'm satisfied with the results achieved."
The young volleyball player notes the positive start of the cycle and emphasizes that there is still room for improvement, but the team is moving in the right direction.
The responsibility of being a starter
"Yes, it's certainly a great responsibility for me to be a starter in the national team. I hope to live up to expectations in the best possible way and help achieve more victories."
Antov shows maturity in his approach to the role he occupies, stating his readiness to give his all to defend the Bulgarian jersey.
The collective - a foundation for success
"Teamwork is something I can highlight for now. There is truly a good connection among all of us, and I believe this will help me a lot in the future."
According to the opposite hitter, good relationships within the team will be crucial for achieving future successes.
Excitement for the upcoming match
"For the first time, I will be playing in front of a full crowd, so I'm truly feeling a lot of good emotions and I hope we can make the people happy."
Antov does not hide his enthusiasm for the opportunity to play in front of a full stadium and hopes to delight Bulgarian fans with a good performance.
