The young receiver, brother of Samuil Valchinov, with his first Italian adventure
Another foreign addition for the Energy Time Spike Devils Campobasso team - young receiver Kaloyan Valchinov, born in 2004, arrives from Bulgaria. The Plovdiv native, also a youth player for Victoria Volley like his brother Samuil, will debut on the Italian volleyball scene, according to the renowned volleyball websitevolleyball.it. Kaloyan will wear the jersey of the Molise team, which plays in the third division - Serie A3. The young attacker comes from the Montana Volley team, with which he played in the final of the last edition of the Bulgarian Cup, and his new team's coach will be Giuseppe Bua.
As we atvolleyweek.bgannounced first again, his brother Sami Valchinov joined the Ravenna team, thus reuniting the Valchinov family in one country.
Kaloyan Valchinov is a youth player of the club from his hometown Plovdiv - Victoria Volley, and subsequently played for Levski Sofia. The receiver is part of the Bulgarian B national team, which is under constant monitoring by the A team's head coach - Gianlorenzo Blengini, for future call-ups to the Nations League.
"I am truly happy to be able to compete in the Italian championships, which are recognized worldwide for their very high level," shares the new attacker of the "red-blues." Kaloyan then adds: "It will be an honor for me to compete at this level of play and to be able to develop technically and mentally."
The 196 cm tall young receiver defines himself as "a player mainly dedicated to attack, but eager to contribute defensively as well." He also has no lack of enthusiasm for the new challenge awaiting him in Italy: "Having a supportive crowd is an extra boost. In Bulgaria, this doesn't always happen, and I'm curious to experience that atmosphere in Campobasso," concludes Kaloyan Valchinov.
We wish the Valchinov brothers success in the volleyball Mecca, Italy!
