During his vacation in Italy, volleyball player Jakub Wachnik from BOGDANKA LUK Lublin presented Pope Leo XIV with a jersey number 9 - the one with which Wilfredo Leon led the team to the historic Polish title. The symbolic gift, coinciding with the name of the Holy Father, was received with a smile, and the photo from the meeting quickly spread on social media.

Before taking a summer break, Wilfredo Leon and Jakub Wachnik helped BOGDANKA LUK Lublin achieve something unprecedented in club history. On May 10, the team won its first PlusLiga title, and shortly before that, also triumphed in the Challenge Cup. The 2024/2025 season will certainly remain in the memory of volleyball fans in Lublin.
