Poland started with difficulty against Turkey, but registered a 3-0 victory, which is their third success in the VNL

The Polish national volleyball team continues its winning streak in the Nations League tournament held in China. Despite some difficulties during the match against Turkey, coach Nikola Grbić's proteges emerged victorious with a clean 3-0 win.

The advantage alternated, but Poland took the first set

The beginning of the match was not particularly dynamic. The Turks demonstrated effectiveness in attack, but made more service errors, which prevented them from pulling ahead in the score. After counterattacks by Efe Bayram and Asiye Marko Matić, Turkey led 14:11. Alexey Nasevich began to successfully execute his attacks, and after the Polish block also started working, the score was tied – 16:16. The game remained filled with errors from both sides.

Grbić made a double substitution, and after a counterattack by Szymura, the Poles led 20:19. However, Turkey came back into the game thanks to Bedirhan Bülbül's accurate attacks. After a mistake by Szymura, Grbić called a timeout at 22:21. Towards the end of the set, the game was point for point. The Poles got a set point after an attack by Szymura, but the Turks saved it. It was an ace by Michał Gierżot that decided the set – 28:26 for Poland.

A fiercely contested second set, but again in favor of the 'white-reds'

Poland started the second set better – after an ace by Jan Firlej, they led 5:3. Errors from the Polish side and strong attacks by Dilmenler turned the score in favor of Turkey. At 7:6, Sasak replaced Nasevich. However, the Turks again started making mistakes, and Kevin Sasak's good play brought Poland back into the match. A block against Bayram led to a new lead for Poland – 14:12 and a timeout for Turkey.

Despite their efforts, the Turkish team had to chase the score. An ace by Turkey reduced Poland's lead, and Grbić called a timeout at 23:21. Then Szymura attacked successfully, and Jakubiszak brought the last point – 25:23.

The Poles dominated the third set

The third set started evenly until 5:5, but the Turkish team continued to make service errors. Poland was not flawless either, but Nasevich returned to the game with an excellent series of aces, giving them a 13:9 lead. A timeout for Turkey followed. The individual actions of the Turkish attackers were not enough. An ace by Mateusz Poręba increased Poland's lead to 16:12.

An attack error by Dilmenler and another powerful attack by Nasevich, followed by an error by a Turkish player, ended the match – 25:21.
