Former national player Georgi Petrov is swapping Greece for France, as announced in a social media post. The 25-year-old receiver, who played successfully for Greek Kifissia this season, will now play for French Nancy, which is in the second tier of the men's championship. Petrov began his professional career at Neftochimic.

The club officially announced the signing of the Bulgarian with an Instagram post:
We are pleased to announce the signing of Georgi Petrov, a Bulgarian outside hitter, to the GNVB squad!

Georgi arrives with extensive international experience – last season he played in Greece, and before that he left his mark in the French Championship, defending the colors of Chaumont and Poitiers. With his addition, he will strengthen our already well-established attacking line and bring additional stability to our reception.

His strong offensive qualities and ability to adapt to different situations on the court will be essential in achieving our goals this season.
