The delegates of the reporting and election assembly of the Polish Volleyball Federation (PZPS) voted by a large majority to extend the mandate of the current president, Sebastian Świderski. He will continue to lead the organization for the next four years, after receiving 88 votes "for", only one "against" and four "abstained".
The information was announced by sports journalist Marek Magiera on the social network X (formerly Twitter). Świderski's election was not surprising, given the widespread support he enjoys in sports and management circles. His re-election confirms confidence in the direction Polish volleyball is developing under his leadership.
Organizational stability before important sporting battles
The assembly was held at an important moment, just days before the Polish national team begins its participation in the tournamentNations League- the first match is scheduled for Wednesday, June 11. The decision for stability in management comes at an opportune time and is seen as a positive signal for both the athletes and the coaching staff.
Beyond the formal aspects of the assembly – concluding the previous mandate and voting on a new one – the main focus was precisely on the presidential elections. Now the interest turns to the upcoming announcement of the composition of the new management board and whether there will be significant changes within it.
Looking to the future
Sebastian Świderski, a former national player and established sports leader, has held the position of president of PZPS since 2021. During this period, he contributed to a number of successes both in the sports-technical progress of the teams and in the organizational development of the federation. The new mandate gives him the opportunity to build on what has been achieved and to prepare Poland for hosting international forums, investments in youth programs, and innovations in volleyball management.
In the coming days, the federation is expected to publish more details regarding the strategy and personnel appointments that will shape the image of PZPS until 2029.
