The Italian national volleyball team is already in Canada, where they are preparing for the start of the Volleyball Nations League 2025 (VNL). After arriving from Milan, the "Azzurri" held their first training session on Saturday morning, June 7, at the sports center of Laval University in Quebec City. On the same day, the team will hold a second training session at 5:00 PM local time.

🏐 Friendly match with Canada - a test before the start

On June 8, just a few days before their official VNL debut, Italy will play a friendly match against Canada. The match is scheduled for 6:30 PM local time (12:30 AM Bulgarian time on June 9) and will take place on the tartan court at PEPS de l’Université Laval.

The two teams will not meet in the group stage of this year's VNL, but this friendly match is essential for Italy's coach, Ferdinando De Giorgi. He will have the opportunity to test his players' game form, make rotations, and try different tactical options before the key match against Bulgaria on June 11.
